ONCE A LASALLIAN

Our SJI International alumni community is 1200 strong, and remains connected globally.

Faculty

“Teaching is a beautiful job as it allows you to see the growth day by day of people entrusted to your care. It is a little like being, at least spiritually”
- Pope Francis

Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.
- Malcolm X

Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school.
- Albert Einstein

The more that you read, the more things you will know, the more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.
-Dr. Seuss

“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.”
- Aristotle

“You educate a man; you educate a man. You educate a woman; you educate a generation.”
- Brigham Young

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
- Nelson Mandela

“Education is the ability to listen to almost anything without losing your temper or your self-confidence.”
- Robert Frost

“Wisdom is not a product of schooling but of the lifelong attempt to acquire it.
- Albert Einstein

“Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.”
- Henry Ford

“If a man is to shed the light of the sun upon other men, he must first of all have it within himself.”
- Romain Rolland

“Give a bowl of rice to a man and you will feed him for a day. Teach him how to grow his own rice and you will save his life.”
- Confucius

“When learning is purposeful, creativity blossoms. When creativity blossoms, thinking emanates. When thinking emanates, knowledge is fully lit.”
- A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

“Arise, Awake and Stop not till the goal is reached. Complete continence gives great intellectual and spiritual power.”
- Swami Vivekananda

Aim for success, not perfection. Never give up your right to be wrong, because then you will lose the ability to learn new things and move forward with your life. Remember that fear always lurks behind perfectionism.
- Dr. David M. Burns

Faculty

The school has over 60 committed and qualified teachers and over 20 supporting staff whose passion for excellence is apparent in their domains. Their vast experience combined with the constant training offered to them at the school results in lessons being taught differently, children being encouraged to come up with creative responses. It proves that learning is fun and interactive. Outside the classroom our teachers act as guides and counsellors to our students, often helping them deal with "growing up" issues, further strengthening the bond between our students and the faculty. And this special relationship translates into a happy centre of learning.
